Our Employment team are delighted to welcome a new Trainee Solicitor to their team; Pam Kamel.

Pam has worked at Warner Goodman since 2015, beginning in the Residential Conveyancing team in Portsmouth before moving to the Commercial Property team as a Paralegal in September 2016.  Prior to joining the firm, she studied at Portsmouth University for her Law LLB, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford.  She began her Period of Recognised Training on the 3rd September, taking her place in the Peace of Mind team within the Employment department.

Speaking about her move to the Employment team as a Trainee Solicitor, Pam commented, “I am thrilled to be starting my journey towards qualifying as a Solicitor, especially as part of the Employment department.  The team are very proactive, not only in terms of working with their clients and other employers across Hampshire, but also through their role in marketing, having a prominent social media presence and hosting regular Employment Law seminars and masterclasses.  I am very keen to immerse myself in every aspect of the team, improving not only my legal knowledge but also my wider knowledge in terms of marketing and public speaking.  It is refreshing and rewarding to work for a firm that acknowledges hard work.  Having started as a secretary, it gives me a great sense of achievement to have reached this milestone; with the help and support of Warner Goodman.”

During her time with the Peace of Mind team, Pam will be kept busy supporting her colleagues on meeting the employment law needs of the 140 Peace of Mind members.  She will be focusing on the document review process within the membership, while also taking part in the training on offer to the members and wider client base of the Employment team.

Dan Thompson, Trainee Partner for the firm, commented, “It is always a proud moment when a new Trainee Solicitor joins a team, especially when we can give the opportunity to a long standing employee of the firm who is keen to progress.  The Employment team is an exciting one to join and the Peace of Mind membership is going from strength to strength.  Pam is a promising member of staff here at Warner Goodman and I am looking forward to seeing how her career takes shape over the coming two years as a Trainee Solicitor.”
