Awards success for Warner Goodman

  • Posted

November is promising to be an exciting month for Hampshire law firm, Warner Goodman, as the firm are recognised for their achievements.  The firm recently announced that they are finalists in the Hampshire Venus Awards for Company of the Year, to be announced on 11th November, and now they can reveal they are also finalists in two categories for the 2017 LawNet Awards.

LawNet is a membership organisation for law firms; offering a wide range of benefits including access to training, accreditations and marketing support.  “Membership to LawNet is by invitation only, and there are a number of stringent standards firms must meet in order to receive this invitation,” said Ed Voller, Warner Goodman Managing Partner.  “Through being a LawNet firm, our clients can be confident that they are working with quality assured legal experts, who are committed to delivering only the best customer service.  In essence, the annual awards help celebrate the best of the best.”

The firm has been shortlisted for two awards categories; Best Community Contribution and Team of the Year.   “We take pride in supporting our local community by fundraising for charities or taking part in sporting events, however our entry for this award focussed on one particular project we have partnered for the last four years; our work with Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association,” explains Ed.  “Over the last four years through a number of different initiatives, we have raised over £12,000 for the charity, which has mainly been invested in their School Advisory Service.  The project has worked tremendously for the charity, not just in raising funds but also in raising awareness, and we’re delighted to be recognised for our partnership by LawNet.”

It is the Employment Team of Warner Goodman who has been shortlisted for the Team of the Year Award.  “We have nine departments across our commercial and high street divisions of the firm and while, in my opinion, all of them could easily win this award, it is our Employment team who have been rewarded in this category this year,” continues Ed.  “The team has grown significantly in recent years, mainly due to the growth of their employment law support package, Peace of Mind; an innovative service which delivers proactive support and fosters strong client relationships.  The team has exceeded expectations in customer service, developing a work method that enables prompt and proactive advice, utilising the teams’ vast range of backgrounds and experiences to maximise the opportunities for them and their clients.”

The winners of the LawNet Awards will be announced at the end of the annual LawNet Conference on Friday 10th November.  To find out more about the LawNet Awards, visit their website here, or visit our Youtube channel to discover more about Peace of Mind and our work with Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association.
