Preventing Sexual Harassment with Cath Dixon

From October 2026, a policy is not enough. You need to prove you took all reasonable steps.

The law is changing. From October 2026, employers will be required to demonstrate that they have taken all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace — not just that a policy exists. This session equips your line managers with the knowledge and confidence to meet that standard, and to act decisively when they need to.

What to Expect

  • The different forms sexual harassment can take — including those that are often misunderstood
  • How to evaluate behaviour and judge its appropriateness in context
  • The nuances of banter — where the line is and why it matters
  • How to address inappropriate behaviour before it escalates into something more serious
  • How to report, support, or deal with reports of sexual harassment with confidence
  • Understanding employer responsibilities and the risks of getting it wrong

How the Session Will Run

The session runs from 10.00am to 1.00pm at our Southampton office, Compass House. It is led by one of our employment law specialists and tackles this important subject in a measured, practical way. Spaces are limited to keep the session focused and to give you the opportunity to raise questions relevant to your organisation.

Who Should Attend?
