Warner Goodman expands Corporate team as demand for business legal services grows

Warner Goodman has expanded its Corporate team as the firm continues to strengthen its legal services for businesses across Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

The expansion reflects growing demand for corporate and commercial legal advice as businesses navigate increasingly complex legal requirements, changing markets and new opportunities for growth.

As part of this continued investment, Chai Radic has joined Warner Goodman’s Company Commercial team in Southampton as a Trainee Solicitor, moving from the firm’s Commercial Property team in Portsmouth, where she spent the past four years.

Her appointment adds further capacity to the growing team and forms part of Warner Goodman’s wider commitment to ensuring businesses across the region have access to the specialist legal expertise they need at every stage of their development.

Growing legal support for Hampshire businesses

The legal needs of businesses rarely stand still. From starting and growing a company to bringing in new shareholders, negotiating commercial agreements, restructuring or preparing for a sale, businesses can face a wide range of legal considerations as they develop.

Warner Goodman has continued to evolve its business legal services in response, combining specialist expertise with practical commercial advice to help businesses protect their interests, manage risk and plan for the future.

The firm’s Company Commercial solicitors advise businesses across Hampshire and the surrounding areas on matters including:

  • Business start-ups and company formations
  • Shareholder and partnership agreements
  • Commercial contracts and agreements
  • Buying and selling businesses
  • Company acquisitions and disposals
  • Share sales and purchases
  • Corporate restructuring
  • Business succession and exit planning

The growth of the Corporate team also strengthens Warner Goodman’s wider commercial offering. Businesses can access specialist advice across Company Commercial, Commercial Property, Employment and Dispute Resolution, allowing the firm to provide joined-up legal support as clients and their requirements develop.

Steven Grant, Head of Company Commercial at Warner Goodman, said:

“We are continuing to see businesses needing legal support across an increasingly broad range of corporate and commercial matters. As those needs develop, our firm must continue to invest in the people and expertise required to provide businesses with practical, commercially focused advice.

“We are delighted to welcome Chai back to the team, having first worked with us as a university intern four years ago. Chai is a natural fit for the team, with a keen intellect for problem-solving, a calm nature, and strong business acumen. We look forward to supporting her development as she works towards qualification and seeing the contribution she will make to the team in the years ahead.”

Investing in future legal expertise

Chai’s move into the Company Commercial team also reflects Warner Goodman’s continued investment in developing legal talent within the firm.

Alongside joining the team, Chai has begun her role as a Trainee Solicitor through the WG Academy, Warner Goodman’s internal training and career development programme.

The WG Academy provides aspiring solicitors with a structured route to build their legal knowledge and practical experience while working towards qualification. By developing talent from within the firm, the programme also helps Warner Goodman build the skills and specialist expertise needed to meet the changing requirements of its clients.

Chai joined Warner Goodman in 2022 and spent four years as a Legal Assistant within the firm’s Commercial Property team. Her experience working on commercial property matters has provided a strong foundation for her move into Company Commercial and the next stage of her legal career.

Chai Radic, Trainee Solicitor at Warner Goodman, said:

“I am delighted to have started my training contract and to have the opportunity to build on my previous experience while developing my corporate and commercial expertise.

“I’m looking forward to taking on new challenges, working alongside experienced colleagues and continuing to grow my skills and understanding as I work towards qualification.”
