Andy Munden

Managing Partner and Chartered Legal Executive

Andy has enjoyed a long career with Warner Goodman LLP, first joining the firm in 1995 within the Personal Injury department before becoming our Managing Partner in September 2020.  His passion lies in moving the firm forward, whether that is regarding the IT functions, employee engagement, client satisfaction or the overall profitability and long term success of the business.  Andy takes the compliance and data protection responsibilities of the firm seriously and is proud of the successful audit results we obtain each year.

Andy did not take the so-called “traditional” route into the world of law; after graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc in Economics, he was unsure of which career route to take.  It was at this stage that he joined the firm in 1995, and showed enthusiasm and an ability in the law, which led to the firm sponsoring him to complete legal qualifications. This resulted in Andy completing his qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive and, later, being promoted to a Partner in 2010; the first non-solicitor Partner in the 160 year history of the firm.  Being successful in this route has given Andy the drive to encourage career development at Warner Goodman no matter a person’s background, working pattern or qualifications, which has led to an open approach to recruitment and promotion, up to and including, Partner level; an ethos that has been recognised and applauded in various award nominations such as the CILEx Access to the Profession Award and the Venus Women in Business Awards.

In addition to the full time management and compliance responsibilities, Andy continues to lead the IT provision, with a particular interest in the efficient delivery of legal services in a customer focussed way. He works with stakeholders within the firm and also third party contacts to ensure we continue to innovate and deliver customer service excellence in all areas of the practice, both for individual and commercial clients. It was during his time in this role that he oversaw the successful implementation of a new Practice Management System in June 2019, which has revolutionised the way we work with our clients and will continue to do so as technologies and demands change in the coming years.

Andy is a well respected leader in the legal community, spanning from his 20 years working within the Personal Injury department as well as his recent years as Managing Partner.  He is a previous School Governor and a Professional member of the Professional Conduct Panel of Cilex Regulation, who are the regulator for issues of breach of the code of conduct of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, as well as being a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

In his spare time Andy enjoys playing golf and watching the Saints (although that is not always enjoyable!). Andy is married to Teena and he is a devoted family man with two daughters.

To speak to one of our experts please call us

Dear Andy, As a family we wanted to personally thank you for all the time and hard work you have put in to fighting our case with a very successful outcome. From the first phone call all those years ago all the way through to the conclusion you have acted professionally and with compassion. When things got difficult we trusted you and your team to fight our battle. You always put us at ease and answered any questions that needed answers. Although it’s your job your communication skills were fantastic and it certainly felt like you went above and beyond to support us and for that we are truly grateful.

Dear Andy, Just a note to say thank you for all that you have done to get us to the end of that journey! So my little boat is sailing along in calm waters! The day of the hearing felt like I was losing a good friend, nothing else seemed to matter really. We did take your advice and had a great lunch in Luzburgh (really good). We have seen Martin as well, thanks for that too. Well all, I can say to you now is a really big thank you.
