Warner Goodman LLP top list of awards finalists

  • Posted

Hampshire based law firm, Warner Goodman LLP, are delighted to announce that they have won finalist places in four categories of the 2014 LawNet Awards.   With four nominations, the law firm has received the highest number of nominations across the awards.

“The four categories that we have been shortlisted for include Young Lawyer of the Year with Personal Injury lawyer Retu Gogna as our candidate, Best Digital Presence, Team of the Year with our Commercial Property Team nominated, and finally Firm of the Year,” explains Karen Clarkson, Marketing Manager for Warner Goodman LLP.

The awards are open to legal practices who are members of LawNet, the leading national network for independent law firms.  The winners will be announced at the awards dinner to be held next month at the network’s annual conference.

LawNet’s chief executive Chris Marston comments, “The aim of these annual awards is to get to the heart of what makes an innovative law firm, underpinned by a commitment to excellence.   It’s a great opportunity to recognise the contribution to the standing of the LawNet network, as well as recognising the staff who are behind these outstanding outcomes.”

Karen concludes, “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for such a high number of award categories, especially this year which celebrates LawNet’s 25th anniversary.  The firm has had an excellent year; we have achieved significant growth in numbers, fees and profitability and pursued many initiatives which we firmly believe will further enhance the client experience.  To be nominated, and hopefully win, these awards is a fantastic way to reward our staff for their hard work and achievements.”

About LawNet

LawNet was established in 1989 to enable a collaborative, non-competing national network where independent law firms could access big firm resources and benefit from collective purchasing, shared knowledge, best practice and expertise.

All members share a commitment to excellence and must achieve and maintain LawNet’s own ISO.9001 standard and the associated Mark of Excellence in client service.

The combined income of the 64 firms comprising LawNet is currently in excess of £250m – equivalent to a UK Top 15 law firm – with members ranging from £2m to £20m turnover.

Independent research shows LawNet is most highly valued by members for delivering in six key areas – training, networking, PII, practice development, marketing and compliance.  It currently places some £1.2bn worth of PI cover alone for members each year, which helps stabilise premiums for firms.
