Law firm raises £576 for MacMillan Cancer Support

  • Posted

On Thursday 24th September, Hampshire law firm Warner Goodman LLP joined the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning across all three of its offices by inviting colleagues and visitors to share a slice of cake and a cup of tea to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Karen Clarkson, Marketing Manager at Warner Goodman LLP, commented, “The morning was a great success with staff raising money in a number of different ways. Not only were we selling the cake that had been made by members of the three offices, but we also participated in a dress down day, games and a raffle, in which we sold over 500 tickets. In total we raised £576, a figure of which we are extremely proud.”

MacMillan Cancer Support is aiming to raise money to support the 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. The charity is made up of professionals, volunteers and campaigners who support those diagnosed with cancer and their families through their journey fighting the disease.

“Everyone will know someone who’s been affected by cancer, whether it’s them personally, or their family or friends, so raising money for MacMillan is a highly important cause,” concludes Karen. “We regularly take part in fund raising activities whether that is a physical challenge or something of this nature which can include everyone, but no matter the event I’m always overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the members of staff here to support local and national causes.”
