Hampshire solicitors to take part in Christmas Jumper Day

  • Posted

As we enter December and all wonder how quickly this year has gone by, the teams at Warner Goodman will be digging out their Christmas jumpers ready for Christmas Jumper Day!  On Friday 16th December, the annual Save the Children charity day will take place, and staff from all three offices of the Hampshire law firm will take part.

Why Christmas Jumper Day?

“We take part in many charity events each year, on both a national and local scale, and Christmas Jumper Day is one we have done for a number of years,” explains Ed Voller, Managing Partner at Warner Goodman LLP.  “By inviting our employees to dress up in their Christmas jumpers and donate £2 each we’re not only raising money for a wonderful charity but also raising awareness of the plight of others around the world to encourage others to also donate.  In years gone by many members of the teams haven’t stopped at Christmas jumpers and have come to the office also sporting antlers, Santa hats and Christmas ear-rings, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the teams dress this year!”

The work of Save the Children

Save the Children strives to address serious issues around the globe including inequality, poverty and hunger.  It does this in a number of different ways including giving children access to healthcare, education, protection and food.  As little as £2 could help a homeless child in Bangladesh have a bed for a night and £124 could buy a teacher the kit they need to provide children with lessons at school in Syria.

How can I donate to the Warner Goodman LLP team?

As well as the Warner Goodman staff members donating £2 themselves, you can support the team by texting TEAMWARNERG to 70050 to make the same donation of £2.  Follow all the action by using the hashtag #christmasjumperday.
