Football team on the rise with support from Warner Goodman LLP

The Residential Conveyancing Team at Hampshire based law firm Warner Goodman LLP are continuing their support for Under 12 football team Widbrook United Tornadoes by sponsoring their away kit for the second season.

Sarah Brooks, Head of the Residential Conveyancing Team, said of the sponsorship, “The team did extremely well last season, going unbeaten in their last 8 games, with the final win securing their promotion in the Portsmouth Youth Football League from Division D up to Division C.   Not only are they exceptional players, but they also have the right attitude and team spirit, coming second in the Under 12 Fair Play table, which is voted for by the other teams across all divisions of the league.”

John Dyer, Coach and Manager of the team, said of the sponsorship, “We’d like to thank Warner Goodman LLP for their continued support as sponsors for the boys away kit.  It was a fantastic season for us and to have a unified team with a kit they can be proud of is so important.  It’s not only the boys who feel the sense of unity but also the parents and coaches, who also work hard to promote the idea of sportsmanship, which helped us in the Fair Play Table.”

Sarah concludes, “I’m delighted that we have the opportunity for the sponsorship again this season as it’s our way of giving something back to our local community.  We wish all the team a successful season, and hope for news of another promotion at the end of the upcoming season!”
