Geoffrey Sturgess, Consultant Solicitor within the Commercial department of Warner Goodman, has been named as one of 20 Legal Eagles according to Global Franchise Magazine.

The magazine is a worldwide publication bringing the latest news, advice and trends to both franchisees and franchisors across the globe.  In their Legal Eagles feature, published in May 2017, they recognise that global franchising requires skilled legal assistance, and names Geoffrey as one out of 20 legal professionals who can provide this.  The magazine celebrates Geoffrey’s experience and dedication to franchising, drawing attention to his recognition by the British Franchise Association, as well his election to their board in 2010 and serving as a member of the bfa’s Legal Committee.  Geoffrey has recently been involved in a working group to advise the bfa Board on fairness in franchising.

As well as franchising, Geoffrey is an experienced commercial lawyer working on UK and international commercial contracting in IT and technology, and dealing with disputes, both in the UK and internationally.   He is experienced in intellectual property and its protection.  He has, since 1998, been involved in advising businesses on compliance with data protection rules and designing their processes and procedures for compliance with the Data Protection Act and now the General Data Protection Regulation.
