Christmas jumpers galore at Hampshire law firm

Friday 16th December was not a normal day as team members from all three offices of Hampshire law firm, Warner Goodman LLP, took part in Christmas Jumper Day.  Everyone pulled on their festive pullovers and raised over £200 for charity, Save the Children.

Ed Voller, Managing Partner for the firm, commented, “We’ve taken part in Christmas Jumper Day for the last three years, and each year it gets better and better.  This day of fundraising is our final one of the year, and has been an exciting way to round off another successful year of raising essential funds for charities, both local and national.  In 2016, we have supported local charities including Brendoncare, Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association and Marwell Wildlife through their Zany Zebras project, as well as national charities such as Brake, particularly during their Road Safety Week.”

The work of Save the Children

Save the Children strives to address serious issues around the globe including inequality, poverty and hunger.  It does this in a number of different ways including giving children access to healthcare, education, protection and food.  As little as £2 could help a homeless child in Bangladesh have a bed for a night and £124 could buy a teacher the kit they need to provide children with lessons at school in Syria.

Wave 105’s Mission Christmas

“Not only did we take part in Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children, but our Southampton office also donated over 40 toys to Wave 105’s Mission Christmas Appeal, which will be bringing toys and Christmas gifts to children living in poverty across Hampshire,” concludes Ed.  “Offering charitable support is an incredibly important part of our work here, whether that be through sporting activities, giving up our time, event sponsorship, or dressing up in Christmas jumpers!”
