Peace of Mind Members Exclusive Seminar

We have talked about the Employment Rights Act for a long time now, and rightly so. It is one of the biggest shifts to the employment law landscape in years. But the rest of people management has not paused to wait for it, and neither should we. So at this seminar we are giving the ERA a proper overview and then turning our attention to the areas that still land on your desk every week.

As a Peace of Mind member, you have exclusive access to a morning of practical guidance on the issues shaping people management right now, from menopause and cybersecurity to AI in the workplace and the changing world of employment tribunals. Bring your questions, hear how other organisations are handling the same challenges, and leave with things you can actually use.

What to expect

A practical morning covering the subjects that matter to employers today. We will bring you up to speed on where the Employment Rights Act stands and what is coming this autumn, then spend our time on the wider people management issues that do not always get the airtime they deserve. Throughout, the focus is on what this means for you as an employer and what to do about it.

Key sessions include:

  • Menopause in the workplace: the legal angles on support, reasonable adjustments and discrimination risk, with our guest speaker.
  • Cybersecurity: why your people are your first line of defence, and your biggest vulnerability, with our guest speaker.
  • AI at work: the grievances and claims starting to appear, how employees are really using AI, and what a sensible policy looks like.
  • Employment law updates: a quick fire overview of the changes already in force and the reforms arriving this autumn.
  • Staying out of tribunals: our Employment Litigation team share practical guidance drawing on the latest tribunal trends, including what the lifting of the unfair dismissal compensation cap means for settlement conversations.
  • Ask the Experts: bring your real questions and put them to the panel.

Guest speakers

We are joined by menopause specialist Jen Davies, who brings expert insight on supporting employees through menopause at work. We also welcome cybersecurity specialist Chrissy Forder, on why your people are central to keeping your organisation secure.

How the session will run

The seminar runs from 10.00am to 1.00pm with a 20-minute coffee break roughly halfway through. Arrive from 9.30am for networking over pastries, teas and coffees. The morning combines expert analysis with practical, forward-looking guidance, and questions are welcomed throughout. Our team will be on hand to talk through your specific concerns.

They do not even need to be on your authorised contact list, so this is your chance to make sure everyone who needs this knowledge has access to it.
