The HR Hangout - March

One of the many unfortunate side effects of Covid-19 has been the impact on our economy and job roles, with many businesses having to face the difficult process of making redundancies or restructuring their workforce.  As always, it is vital that employers follow the right legal procedure to avoid any potential tribunal claims being brought against them, but it is just as important to understand the practical considerations with making redundancies.

We will be discussing our top tips for these practical issues in the second HR Hangout event of 2021!  During this event, which will run on Tuesday 23rd March from 12noon until 1pm, we will deliver our guidance on the topic of redundancies as well as provide the opportunity for you to share best practice and learn directly from your fellow attendees who will undoubtedly be experiencing similar issues.  In particular, we will focus on the following issues:

  • Does coronavirus change the redundancy process that needs to be followed?
  • How to choose between reducing employee hours and voluntary redundancies?
  • Is it lawful to choose redundancy if furlough is still an option?
  • How do redundancy and the furlough scheme interact?
  • Family related leave and redundancy.

You’ll come away from this event with valuable tools to assist you face any redundancies or restructure you are required to make in your business, with attendance charged at just £25 plus VAT.  You can book to attend the event by emailing Karen Clarkson at karenclarkson@warnergoodman.co.uk who will send you the correct link for the event and an invoice for payment.
