Employment Law Seminar - In the Family Way

When an employee informs you of their pregnancy, it will not only be a journey for them but also for you as their employer.  Our first seminar of the year will use case scenarios to bring this area of law to life by taking you through each trimester from the announcement of the pregnancy to maternity leave, KIT days, flexible working requests, and returning to work.

Of course, things aren’t always black and white (or blue and pink!) as there can be some metaphorical Lego to trip you up along the way; what happens if the employee is off with a pregnancy related sickness, what considerations do you need to make regarding Shared Parental or time off for antenatal appointments, what changes will the Taylor Review implement in due course…and how do you avoid claims against you for discrimination or constructive unfair dismissal?

We will consider all of this and more in our seminar, which will be full of the usual quizzes, tricky questions and interactivity.  The timings for the morning will be as follows:

  • Arrival and registration – 8.45am
  • Presentations to commence – 9.15am
  • Coffee break – 10.15am
  • Presentations to resume – 10.45am
  • Seminar Close – 11.30am

To book your place, complete the Registration form or email events@warnergoodman.co.uk.  We will always confirm your booking, so if you do not receive a response within 48 hours please contact Karen Clarkson on 023 8063 9311.
