Employment Law Masterclass - Mental Health Check
Our Mental Health Check masterclass has become one of the most popular events in our masterclass calendar; so much so that we offered two separate dates last year and we’re pleased to announce that it will be returning again this year!
With the importance of good mental health now a top priority in today’s society, it is essential for businesses to know how to manage and support employees who may experience mental health issues.
While the stigma of mental ill-health has reduced, it can still be difficult for people to speak out if they are suffering, which can lead to issues in the workplace, including a drop in productivity levels, conflicts with colleagues as well as increased sickness absence. Making sure your employees feel comfortable to speak about these matters is crucial.
As well as advising on how you can promote an environment that encourages conversations about mental health, our masterclass will cover topics including:
- The processes to adopt when an employee is suffering with poor mental health.
- How to spot the signs.
- When and how to involve Occupational Health.
- Potential claims that could arise.
- Managing long term sick leave due to poor mental health.
- Potential grievance or disciplinary issues that could arise and how to manage those.
