Peace of Mind Seminar

Our first Peace of Mind Members exclusive event of the year takes place on Thursday 5th March and we will be updating you on all the latest case law and legislation from the Solent Hotel in Fareham.

During this seminar, we will present on a variety of topics, including:

  • Case Law and Legislation Update

One of the cases that has already taken centre stage this year is Casamitjana v League Against Cruel Sports. In what has been hailed as a landmark decision, the two parties agreed that ethical veganism should be protected under law, but what exactly does that mean? We will go into detail about how this could impact businesses and employers, as well as the misinformation surrounding the facts of the case.

We will also be examining three other cases concerning whistleblowing, age discrimination and inadequate investigations to see how these judgments could help you reduce the risk of a tribunal claim.

  • New Guidance

We will also be exploring the new guidance drafted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission on harassment in the workplace, as well as ACAS’s recently published guidance on supporting employees who are affected by menopause symptoms at work.

The details for this seminar are as follows:

Venue: Hambledon 1 of the Solent Hotel

Timings: Arrival at 9.45am with presentations commencing at 10.00am. The event will then conclude at 12:00pm.
