Employment Law Seminar - The Gig's Up

The gig economy has brought us to a new age of employment status, with Employment Tribunal cases seemingly each week re-defining the world of employees, workers and the self employed.  When these terms aren’t clear amongst your workforce, you could leave yourself open to claims relating to Working Time Regulations, holiday pay, National Minimum Wage and more.

Our second seminar of the year will review the most recent employment status cases heard at Tribunal and clarify for you:

  • The definition and differences between worker, employee and self-employed
  • An explanation of other statuses such as interns, work experience and volunteers
  • The implications that status has on National Minimum Wage and holiday pay
  • The consequences of not classifying your workforce correctly.

Our free seminar will involve the usual case scenarios, quizzes and networking to ensure you leave feeling confident in this new era.  Held in the Ageas Suite of the Ageas Bowl, we will begin the morning at 8.45am with registration, before commencing the presentations at 9.15am.  We aim to close the event at 11.30am.

To book your place either email events@warnergoodman.co.uk or complete the Registration form; you will receive confirmation of your booking, however if you don’t receive this after 48 hours please contact Karen Clarkson on 023 8063 9311.
