The Team in the Community
Our Private Client Team are here to help and advise you on your future plans, but not only that, to ensure that as many people are aware of exactly what needs to be in place. To do this, we spend time travelling around the Hampshire community offering support and guidance. Read more about the Team in the Community below.
27th November 2013
On the 27th November 2013, the Private Client Team were involved in the launch of Dementia Friendly Fareham. The event was to help raise awareness about the impact that dementia has on people and their carers, and highlighted where people can go for support.
8th November 2013
We were delighted to have been asked to attend The Older Persons Information Day at the Working Men’s Club in Fareham, a day free of charge for members of the public to visit and receive advice on many areas from home safety and security devices, to advice for carers, and general information on where you can turn if you have questions or concerns about the future.
We were there to advise those in attendance on the importance of having a Will in place, or if you have one, that it is up-to-date. Lasting Powers of Attorney were also a popular topic of conversation as, similar to having a Will in place, this is crucial if you wish to ensure that your wishes are adhered to later in life.
The Mayor of Gosport also joined the event for the afternoon, and he was kind enough to pose for a picture with the team!

7th November 2013
It’s not only members of the public we engage with, but business people too. On the 7th November 2013, Private Client Partner, Jane Cox, presented at the Women in Business Networking Lunch, on the importance of having a Will and a LPA in place.
Having the work/life balance right is a struggle these days and so it can be easy to put off the idea of ensuring your wishes will be taken care of in the future, as right now it may not be a priority. So it’s our responsbility to ensure people understand that it is a priority, as you never know what’s around the corner.
It was a pleasure the present to the group and answer their questions, and we look forward to having the opportunity again soon.
