Serious road traffic accident claims solicitors

Road traffic accidents are the most common cause of personal injury claims in the UK with over 25,000 people seriously injured on UK roads each year according to road safety charity, Brake.

If you have been involved in a serious road traffic accident that wasn’t your fault, either in your vehicle, on your bicycle or as a pedestrian, we are here to help you.  We know that you will be adjusting to a new way of life, coming to terms with the injuries you have sustained as well as the psychological impact the accident will naturally have had on you.  Our many years of experience in serious road traffic accident claims can help and support you and your family every step of the way.

If you do decide to make a claim, we will discuss the process with you thoroughly, before arranging a medical assessment by a doctor.  As well as providing you with financial stability through your compensation claim, we can also put you in touch with our connections in the field of rehabilitation, physiotherapy or other medical treatments, as well as charities who can provide emotional and practical assistance.

With effect from 31st May 2021, new legislation will change how you can claim compensation following a road traffic accident and for so called “whiplash” style, soft tissue injuries with symptoms lasting up to two years in duration, how much compensation you may be entitled to recover.  If you are injured in an accident of this nature resulting in soft tissue injuries to your neck, back or shoulders, and you are expected to recover within 24 months, unfortunately it is unlikely that we will be able to advise you on your claim.  You will still be able to make a claim using the Ministry of Justice RTA Small Claims procedure and further information about this can be found on the Official Injury Claim website which sets out in further detail the procedure to follow.

Where your injuries are classed as being more serious under this new legislation, for example including, broken bones, fractures or a head injury, or if you will not be expected to recover within 24 months, please do contact us to see how we can advise you in claiming compensation to assist with your recovery from your serious road traffic accident.
