Partner

Alexandra (Alex) joined the firm in 2012 as a Trainee Solicitor after obtaining a 2:1 at the University of Southampton and a distinction at the College of Law in Guildford. She quickly completed her training contract including spending 21 months out of her 24 months training in the firm’s Property department. She qualified in April 2014 and remained with the Commercial Property team in Portsmouth.

In May 2015, Alex was promoted to Associate status in recognition of her hard work and dedication to the firm. Since then she has gone on to win the national LawNet Young Lawyer of the Year Award 2015 and was promoted to Partner in 2022, which both Alex and everyone at the firm are extremely proud of.

Alex specialises in a hybrid of both residential and commercial transactions for corporate clients, focusing predominately on acquisitions and disposals of investment properties including buy to let properties and houses in multiple occupation. Alex’s knowledge of both commercial and residential transactions enables her to offer a broad spectrum of services to assist with most property related needs of companies and investors.

Alex prides herself on being responsive and proactive in the way in which she approaches her work and understands the need for good communication for clients who require a trustworthy person at the end of the phone who they can reach quickly. She enjoys getting to know her clients, many of which she has long standing relationships with.

Outside of work Alex likes spending her time organising trips away, eating good food and anything flying related!

To speak to one of our experts please call us

May we express our deep appreciation to you personally and a 'thank you' to the whole team.  We are grateful for your professionalism working with other parties, proposing creative solutions to the restrictive covenant issue and, very importantly, keeping us fully informed throughout.

My property companies transact tens of millions of pounds of business through the team at Warner Goodman; our transactions can be complex and drawn out. Initial concerns that someone who was not a partner with 20 years experience was going to be handling some of our transactions were quickly alleviated by Alex’s professional manner and her dedication to our complex transactions.  I value her responsiveness to my queries and her sage like advice.  If she doesn’t know something she says so and quickly finds the answer.  Alex is also very tenacious so if a Receiver says no information is available (stock trade answer for these type of people) Alex doesn’t take this as a given and does her own investigation usually yielding results which are an embarrassment to the vendor’s lawyer.  I feel that Alex is part of my team.  She is definitely highly valued by us.

Alexandra (Alex) has become a key member of my 'property team'. As a property developer, investor and landlord, I was introduced to Alex whilst she was completing her final year as a 'trainee' with Claire Battye. Alex dealt with the purchase of a residential property last year. I was very impressed with her excellent communication skills and her natural ability to build positive rapport with her clients. On a couple of occasions I recall ringing Alex regarding a few queries over the purchase and her calm, reassuring, efficient manner ensured the process was stress free.
